Objectives

The students learn to observe and analyse their surroundings and to think up and create paintings based on their observations. The students learn to observe and analyse colors and create expedient compositions.

Content

The course consists of two parts: colour and composition as well as painting. The course covers the basics of colour and composition, their concepts and history, interdependence between colours as well as the technical bases and work methods of painting. The students learn about painting as tool for making art and examine its history and position in modern art.
