Objectives
The student
- knows the phases of the children's and adolescents´ growth and development and recognises the typical activities of different age periods
- is able to draw conclusions of the growth and development of children and adolescents and activities typical to different age periods
- recognises and discerns signs of delayed motor development
- is aware of the effects of society and societal changes on families
- is aware of the effects of illnesses on children, adolescents and families
- uses appropriate information technology during clinical training
- is critical in using knowledge recourses and uses evidence based knowledge in reasoning

- examining children's motor functions as part of the general development
- delayed development of children
- guiding children's movement and physical exercise
- anatomy and physiology of the nervous system: sensory tracts and motor tracts
- physiology of the respiratory system: diffusion, ventilation and perfusion relation, ventilation tests
- changes in the family structure - the situation of children and adolescents
- social security of children and families
- rehabilitation of sick children and adolescents, adolescents and illness
- family and illness/ disablement of children/adolescents
- medical problems of children and adolescents
- asepsis and isolation
- physiotherapy in neurological problems of children
- physiotherapy in musculoskeletal problems of children
- physiotherapy in respiratory problems of children and adolescents
- physiotherapy in psychiatric problems of children and adolescents
