Objective of course
Students will enhance their knowledge and skills in synthetics. They are able to search instructions for syntheses by using literature and electronic sources and make working plans in writing. Students are able to do multistage syntheses and check the purity of products by using instrumental analysis.

Course contents
- familiarisation with instructions of synthesis
- selection of syntheses to do
- written working plans with required reagents and laboratory equipment
- making synthesis and checking the purity of products

Independent laboratory work and teacher´s consulting, laboratory practices

Written working plans, yield and purity of synthesis products, laboratory practice reports

Prerequisites
Organic chemistry, Organic syntheses 1 and Instrumental analysis (partly)
