Description
The training responds to the changed requirements of the business environment of the intelligent industry, e.g. regarding information systems and international delivery processes.
The training is aimed at technology and business professionals who need to update their knowledge of intelligent industry themes. After the training, the participant is better equipped to operate in modern technology and business environments.
The education is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture and free for students. Upon completion of 60 credits, the participant will receive an official Diploma of Higher Education.
Objectives
After completing the training, the student acquires basic knowledge and skills about the digitalized business and the importance of new innovations and product development in business development, taking into account the requirements of an industrial company, especially the Smart Industry.
The student understands and masters the laws of the business network's of supply chain as well as his / her own ability to work in the technical purchasing and sales tasks of an industrial company, understanding the importance of utilizing external resources for the company's success. The student understands the importance of different digital processes and systems for the company's operations and development and is able to apply their skills to the needs of the company's operations development.
Students will also gain practical digitalization exercises through the ability to utilize commercial digital platforms.
The education consists of the following courses:
Intelligent product development and marketing, 5 credits (ECTS)
Description:
The importance of data and market-driven product strategy and product development as a success factor for the company. Product development methods, organisation, budgeting and intellectual property rights (IPR). Development, productisation, Bill of Materials (BOM) and new product lifecycle management as part of the product development process. Customer needs definition and compliance management and also marketing channels.

Basics of international order supply chain management, 5 credits (ECTS)
Description:
Main principles and key objectives of managing the supply chain. Importance of product design and technology choices for the formation of industrial logistics chains. Logistical strategic alliancies and operating models. Supply Chain 4.0

International Technical Purchase and Sale, 5 credits (ECTS)
Description:
Pricing and marketing strategies, as well as purchase agreements and the importance of early-stage cooperation related to procurement. Understanding and revenue from customer processes, standards and business, e.g. platform economy and its exploitation.

Smart Industry Information Systems, 5 credits (ECTS)
Description
Industrial information systems such as Enterprise resource planning (ERP), product data management (PDM), Product lifecycle management (PLM).
Utilising the company's own Mydata. Analytics and knowledge management related to the utilisation of information systems and data combined with business management and traditional operational management, including e.g. Information Management (IT), Business Intelligence (BI), Big Data and Data Utilization and Analytics.

Digitalisation exercises in the international smart industry, 10 credits (ECTS)
Description:
This study implementation consists of various practical exercises to develop software and digital readiness, including: Rasberry Pi, Arduino, IoT platform data visualisation.
Study methods: Classroom teaching as part of TAMK's new FieldLab Industry 4.0. laboratory environment.
Curriculum development and working life cooperation
As part of the training, it is possible to complete 30 credits, or about 6 months of internship in a company.
Internship is not mandatory. NOTE. Without an internship, you cannot get a Diploma of Higher Education.
The purpose of the internship is to promote the development of professional competence in the themes according to the content of the training, for example as an expert in the supply chain. The exact role is agreed with the internship company, taking into account the needs of the company.
Each student is responsible for obtaining their own internship. If necessary, it is possible to get help finding an internship.
By separate agreement, it is also possible to carry out the internship at the participant's current job, this possibility must be agreed with the persons in charge of the training separately.
Further information
Teaching consists of classroom and online teaching with exercises and independent and small group exercises. In addition, participants keep a learning diary throughout their studies.
The training can be completed flexibly in addition to participant's own possible work assignments. Most of the study is online teaching or independent/group work planned to take place in the late afternoon.
Participation in contact teaching takes place primarily at Tampere University of Applied Sciences, address Kuntokatu 3. If the Corona situation (Covid-19) so requires, the training will be transferred to online, in accordance with TAMK's recommendations.
The student must have access to a computer, microphone and audio, as well as a sufficiently fast Internet connection.
