Objectives (course unit)
Managing the Profitability of Retailing (5 ECTS) concludes the Retail Trade and Entrepreneurship (15 ECTS) study module. The key point of this course is the profitability you will become familiar with in the role of a retail entrepreneur. The course begins with planning the profitability of retailing, continues with monitoring the profitability of retail trade, and ends with the analysis of financial statements. The goal is to understand which factors affect profitability and which factors can be influenced. As part of the profitability, you will become familiar with the legal aspects of the transaction as well as the management of the personnel. Knowledge management goes along with the course. The example given in the course is the K-Group, but the course offers a lot of information about the field of commerce in general as well.
