Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students have become familiar with the activities and practices of the EU institutions and the special features of EU cohesion policy. They understand the special nature of EU news coverage and are able to produce reliable information about the EU independently.
Content
Covering Cohesion Policy in Europe – Training MOOC for European Journalism Students is an intermediate-level online course. The course has been designed in cooperation with universities from several EU countries. Students study independently on the course, but according to a common schedule for one teaching period. Grading is determined by written assignments based on the teaching material.The course focuses on EU activities, cohesion policy, and news coverage of EU affairs. Among other things, the course provides information about the EU's structures and practices, and instructs students on how to find sources of EU information and how to localize EU news. Students can choose a 5 ECTS or a 10 ECTS package from the online course's modules.

There are no formal prerequisites for entering the course. The course is recommended for students who are interested in the EU and have got some journalistic work experience. You can study in the course in English in Periods 1 and 3.
