COMPETENCY PRODUCED BY EDUCATION
The Multidisciplinary Degree Program in Rehabilitation equips you for expert work in the social, health and rehabilitation services system.

You will learn to acquire and produce researched information on the effects and effectiveness of rehabilitation on health and well-being, ability to work and function, and opportunities to participate. You will learn to critically assess the development needs of rehabilitation services and to work in the multidisciplinary development of services.

You look at rehabilitation services and their development in a customer-oriented way. You are familiar with rehabilitation technology and know how to utilize a variety of methods used in rehabilitation. You will gain the skills to network and lead multidisciplinary rehabilitation processes.

EMPLOYMENT OF GRADUATES IN WORK
In the education, you will acquire the competence of a master's degree in social and health care that is comparable to the corresponding degrees in the EU countries (EQF 7). A master's degree from a polytechnic provides the same eligibility for public positions and positions as a master's degree from a university.

THE VALUE BASE OF EDUCATION

As a student in multidisciplinary rehabilitation education, you will deepen your critical review of ethical practice in your field and deepen your skills in developing and managing multidisciplinary rehabilitation and rehabilitation processes. You base your operations on evidence-based information and consider different aspects of your operations, such as sustainability.

You will be able to work in your profession both independently and in multidisciplinary networking with different actors or as an independent entrepreneur, respecting the professionalism and competence of others.

Appreciate the continuous development of your own professional work, yourself and your professional area, and follow developments in the area nationally and internationally.

IMPLEMENTATION OF TEACHING
The training consists of contact teaching days (2-3 days / month) and distance and independent work. Various methods of independent work and participatory work are used in the training, such as small group work and e-learning. Some of the teaching will be done in English. Each student, together with the teacher tutor, develops a personal learning plan. The implementation of teaching is multimodal teaching.

Curriculum development and working life cooperation

Curricula is developed in cooperation with TAMK's other YAMK degree programs. The curriculum has been developed in close co-operation with experts in the working life of rehabilitation. In addition, there is joint development work and joint implementations with other polytechnics and in national networks.

During the studies, co-operation is established with work organizations and actors, and studies are also carried out in a wide range of national and international projects.

The curriculum has been discussed by the YAMK Health Advisory Board on xxxx.2021.
The curriculum has been approved by the xxxx2022 University Council.
