Objectives

The objective of the course is to develop the student's ability to work in various roles in the writers' room.

After completing the course, the student
- recognises various working methods in writers' rooms
- can collaboratively write content for different series
- can give and receive feedback in the writers' room
- revises content based on received feedback
- develops dramatic thinking
- can edit other writers' and their own texts
- can work in various writers' room roles

Content

The various roles in the writers' room. Different working methods. Providing, receiving, processing, and implementing feedback. Decision-making. Text editing.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student demonstrates an awareness of some basic principles of group writing. They can mimic and apply learned concepts situationally. The ability to provide and receive feedback is present but somewhat incomplete. The student shows a limited understanding of dramatic thinking. They exhibit an understanding of basic-level text editing for both their own and others' texts. There are some shortcomings in the student's work and interaction.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student identifies and can evaluate various working methods in writers' rooms. They apply learned concepts in practice and can develop their own work. The student is effective in giving and receiving feedback. They can revise content based on received feedback. The student enhances their dramatic thinking as part of writers' room collaboration. They are skilled in both editing other people's and their own texts. The student improves their interaction skills in the working environment.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of various writers' room working methods. They identify creative opportunities and actively develop their professional skills. The student is capable of significantly enhancing their own work and interaction skills. They provide and receive feedback effectively and constructively. The student edits content efficiently and professionally based on received feedback. They make significant improvements in their dramatic thinking as part of the writers' room collaboration. The student exhibits excellent abilities in both editing other people's and their own texts. They operate efficiently and diversely in different writers' room roles.
