Objectives (course unit)

Opiskelija tuntee data-analytiikkaan liittyvät keskeiset käsitteet, menetelmät ja työkalut.

Opiskelija osaa analysoida dataa ja osaa tehdä analyysiä tukevia datan visualisointeja.

Opiskelija oppii käyttämään tilanteeseen sopivaa datan analysointiympäristöä ja näihin sopivia työtapoja.

Content (course unit)

Datan keräystekniikat. Datalähteet, datan yhdistely- ja käsittelymenetelmiä. Datan valmistelua jatkotoimia varten. Data-analyysin käsitteitä, menetelmiä ja tekniikoita. Erilaisia datan visualisointitekniikoita. Sopivan analyysi- ja visualisointityökalun tai työkalujen hyödyntämistä.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2) (course unit)

The student knows some suitable data collection techniques. The student knows how to utilize some data combination and processing methods in data preparation.

The student knows what data analytics and data visualization are and is able to analyze data and create visualizations under supervision.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4) (course unit)

The student knows the most commonly used data collection and storage techniques. The student is able to utilize the most common data combination and processing methods in data preparation.

The student is able to analyze data and produce data visualizations. The student knows the data and is aware of its analysis and visualization possibilities.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5) (course unit)

The student is familiar with various data collection and storage techniques appropriate to the situation. The student is able to utilize a variety of data combination and processing methods in data preparation.

The student is able to analyze data in a variety of ways and produce several different data visualizations. The student has an excellent understanding of the data and its analysis and visualization possibilities.
