Customer-Oriented Development of Social and Health Services (5cr)

Objectives (course unit)

During the cource, you familiarize yourself with the social and health care service system, digital health and safety services. You get to know basics of information security and importance of customer information. You will also get to know service design and its importance in the development of social and healthcare services.

After completing the course, the student
• Knows the service system, the general principles of legislation and the context of social and health services and identification of one's own profession as part of the whole.
• Recognizes the importance of customer digital inclusion in evolving social and health services and is able to assess the suitability of digital solutions and e-services from the customer's perspective.
• Recognizes the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation and development in social and health services.
• Recognizes service design and innovation methods as a tool for multi-professional development and develops skills for customer-oriented development as part of their work.
• Understands the importance of data security and data protection in data production and reporting in social services.

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

Pass:

The student
• Can describe the structures of the social and health service system.
• Understands the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation in the development of client-oriented services.
• Can describe development methods and his/her role in development processes.
• Passes the course assignments and actively participates in group work.
• Can apply the principles of data protection and information security and know the principles of information production.

Fail:

The student
• Does not know how to describe the structures of the social and health service system.
• Does not understand the importance of multi-professional cooperation in the development of client-oriented services.
• Does not know how to describe development methods and his/her role in development processes.
• Does not pass the coursework and does not actively participate in group work.
• Does not know how to apply the principles of data protection and data security and does not know the principles of information production.

Exam schedules

Opintojaksolla ei ole tenttiä. Hyväksyttyyn suoritukseen sisältyy opintojakson yksilö -ja tiimitehtävien suorittaminen hyväksytysti.

Opintojakson yksilö- ja tiimitehtävien suorittaminen annettujen ohjeiden ja aikataulun mukaisesti.

Pakollisissa opetustilanteisa paikalla oleminen ja aktiivinen osallistuminen.

Further information

Aikataulutetut tapaamiset ovat pakollisia poislukien vapaaehtoiset tiimityön ohjaustapaamiset.

Orientaatioon ja pienryhmän tapaamiseen osallistuminen on pakollista. Jos opiskelija ei voi osallistua orientaatioon ja pienryhmä tapaamiseen, ei hän voi osallistua opintojaksolle. Jos opiskelijalla on poissaoloon pakottava syy, tulee hänen olla yhteydessä vastuuopettajaan ennen orientaatiota.

Jos opiskelija on pois Sote Virtual Lab vierailulta, vierailun voi tulla korvaamaan toisen ryhmän mukana. Korvaaminen sovitaan itse toisen pienryhmän opettajan kanssa.

Jos opiskelija on pois loppuseminaarista, korvaa hän poissaolonsa esittämällä oman ryhmänsä posterin seuraavan toteutuksen loppuseminaarissa.

Jos opiskelija ei osallistu opintojaksolle edellä mainittujen ohjeiden mukaisesti, voi opiskelija suorittaa opintojakson uudelleen seuraavalla lukukaudella.

Toteutussuunnitelma voi päivittyä ennen opintojakson orientaatiota.
