Objectives (course unit)

Exercise physiology

Student
- knows the biochemical and physiological backgrounds of sport
- knows the responses of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system to acute and prolonged exercise
- is familiar with the key events of energy metabolism and their significance for blood circulation, endocrine and respiration in different environmental conditions
- can describe the physiological effects of exercise



Sports coaching

Students
- analyze phenomena in the biology of physical activity and sports medicine that are related to sport coaching and fitness testing
- evaluates critically data related to physical fitness, testing and training
- can describe the principles and significance of sports coaching
- knows the general principles of coaching planning, implementation and evaluation in a coaching system
- is able to assess the individual effects of exercise on body function
- can develop an individual internship program and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the internship
