Objectives (course unit)
In this course, we explore the significance and objectives of social work and social rehabilitation. This includes contexts such as child protection, mental health and substance abuse work, adult social work, and disability services.
Upon completing the course, the student will:
• Comprehend the societal role and ethical foundation of social work.
• Understand the impact of social problems on an individual’s well-being, functioning, and position, both at an individual and structural level.
• Articulate the comprehensive rehabilitation system of social rehabilitation.
• Evaluate the needs and possibilities for participation in social rehabilitation for various social work clients.

• Fundamentals of Social Work and Work Orientations
• Social Problems (such as poverty, exclusion, and marginalization) as life situations and starting points for social work
• Essential Foundations of Social Rehabilitation
• Social Work and Social Rehabilitation in Different Social Work Sectors (such as child protection, mental health and substance abuse work, adult social work, and disability services)
