Objectives (course unit)

After completing the study unit, the student is able to
- identify the areas for improvement in their own competencies and their cooperation organisation in the field of special support
- plan, implement and report on the practices of the organisation, as well as a working process that promotes the implementation of special support
- develop their own role as an expert in special support tasks
- anticipate the future from the perspective of developing special support and the support system
- reflect on their own professional development in a future-oriented manner.

Content (course unit)

During the study unit, we will seek to answer the following questions:
- What are the current development areas in special support in your organisation?
- How are the planning and implementation of development work justified, negotiated on and limited in cooperation with the work community?
- How does the development work promote education that supports inclusion and participation?

Assessment criteria, pass/fail (course unit)

The student passes the study unit if they have demonstrated competencies described in the learning outcomes. If the student has not achieved the learning outcomes or supplemented their competencies in the manner agreed on, they will fail the study unit. The grounds for the assessment criteria are described in the document ‘Pedagogical principles in professional Special Needs Teacher Education’. The assessment criteria is derived from the learning outcomes presented in the implementation plan for the study unit.
