Objectives (course unit)

Learning Outcomes:
1. Supporting the child, adolescent and family - is involved in child-centered work, with a central understanding of the child and adolescent's growth and development, the rights of the child and the need for protection - identify challenges and opportunities related to age and different life-cycle transitions - is able to take into account the different cultural backgrounds of the child, adolescent and family - to identify and to broach issues of concern - is able to work constructively with carers of children and young people
2. Work orientations and methods - is able to utilize therapeutic and pedagogical work orientation in everyday life and develop appropriate practices to support the growth of children and adolescents - is aware of the potential for child-centered relationship-based work and the empowerment of children and adolescents - is able to deal with challenging educational situations using positive and appreciative pedagogy - Able to support family activity in family work and understand child-centered protection as the core of family work and parenting support - can take into account the different traumatic backgrounds of children / adolescents in their work - can structure the principles of early support and analyze how they are applied when working with children and families - Phenomena and special issues - identify risks related to child abuse and neglect, domestic violence - can apply research data related to specific issues
3. Family service systems and multi-professional networking - recognizing the responsibilities and opportunities of the kindergarten and school as both preventive and supportive to the protection of children; - knows the system of early support, the central service system for children, young people and family with special needs and is able to guide the client to the services - can guide and support children and families in the support they need in everyday situations - knows and knows the principles of the family center business model
