Objectives (course unit)
Students strengthen their skills in the music instruction duties of various stages and with learners of different ages. They obtain a wider range of knowledge of the various materials and tools of music instruction. They are capable of choosing the most appropriate and creative methods and give reasons for the choices of methods. They become acquainted with the pedagogy employed in some other area of interest or other instrument and obtain ability to reflect their observations in their own work.
Choral and orchestra conductor:
Students have the pedagogical skills of an artistic director of pre-professional choirs/orchestras. They have skills for working with children’s choirs and youth choirs/youth orchestras. Students are able to plan a long-term curriculum for developing a choir/orchestra.
Content (course unit)
Students assess and futher develop their skills, also learning skills. They teach one advenced Pupil the whole School Year and-take responsibility of the group´s learning and its effort in sharing skills and knowledge. They will follow some other Pedagogy and taking part in pedagogial Discussion
Choral and orchestra conductor:
Working with choral conducting class’s vocal ensemble and the student’s own choir or ensemble. Working with a youth choir/youth orchestra. Observing choirs/orchestras of different levels and age groups. Observing voice and instrument pedagogy or Musical theatre pedagogy.
