Objectives (course unit)

Students is able to use basic sound design techniques and tools for games, interactive media, tv and films. Student is able to collaborate in an international student team.

Content (course unit)

- soundscape
- image and sound narration
- recording effects and narration in and outside the studio
- synchronisation of sound and image
- using current techniques and tools needed for production
- mixing
- sustainable development

Completion alternatives

Ask for possibilities for using your own sound design projects as course assignments. Missing classes can be compensated by doing extra assignments.

Further information

Most assignments are done with headphones. Have a good pair.

A microphone and a possibility to record to a DAW ( Digital Audio Workstation, ie Logic, Reaper, Audacity, Protools, Ableton Live etc is greatly recommended.

And if possible, it would be nice to use the same DAW.
