Law Concerning Persons and Payroll Administration I (5 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

After completing the course students
- know sources of labour law and priority of provisions
- understand the key contents of employment contracts and collective agreements and understand how the terms of employment relationship are determined
- know different ways to terminate employment relationships
- can calculate the normal salary for employees
- understand how fringe benefits are taken into account when calculating salaries
- can calculate the number of annual holiday days, overtime compensations, and holiday pays

How to apply labour law into practice?
What kind of payroll systems can be used?

Student workload

Content scheduling

Opintojakso on jaettu viiteen noin kaksi viikkoa kestävään jaksoon. Kunkin jakson verkkotehtävät on palautettava aina viimeistään jakson sulkeutumispäivänä. Muuten opiskelija voi suunnitella ajankäyttönsä itse.
