Work-related Wellbeing (3 cr)

Objectives (course unit)

Students
- follow and recognize in the changes society and work life and their effects to the well-being and working ability of the people of the working age
- understand the co-operation between occupational health and safety and occupational health care
- can evaluate the meaning of work, working conditions and working environment to health from the perspective of scientific knowledge and work place specifications
- can evaluate health and functional ability of people of the working age
- can plan and put into practise activities that support and promote well-being in work places
- can give guidance in a professional way in connection to life habits that support well-being at work
- are able to communicate in different co-operation situations

Teaching methods

Työhyvinvoinnista luentoja.
Ergonominen "kartoitus" ryhmissä ja parannusehdotukset sen perusteella ja ohjeistusta työntekijöille. Tuosta kartoituksesta ja ohjeista tehdään kirjallinen työ, joka myös esitetään koko luokalle.

Toteutus hyväksytään, jos opiskelija on osallistunut tunneille sekä osallistunut ergonomisen selvityksen tekemiseen ja työntekijän ohjaamiseen sekä osallistunut kirjallisen työn tekemiseen ko. aiheesta ja esittänyt tuon tuotoksen koko ryhmälle.
Jos opiskelija on pois joltakin tunnilta niin hän tekee opettajan antaman korvaavan tehtävän.
Jos opiskelija ei ole osallistunut ryhmänsä kanssa ergonomisen selvityksen tekoon ja työtekijän ohjaamiseen eikä ole osallistunut kirjallisen tuotoksen tekemiseen ja esittämiseen, hän tekee yksin ko. tehtävän, jonka opettaja hänelle antaa.
