Objectives (course unit)
Students strengthen their skills in the music instruction duties of various stages and with learners of different ages. They obtain a wider range of knowledge of the various materials and tools of music instruction. They are capable of choosing the most appropriate and creative methods and give reasons for the choices of methods. They become acquainted with the pedagogy employed in some other area of interest or other instrument and obtain ability to reflect their observations in their own work.

Assessment methods and criteria
Ohjaava opettaja arvioi opiskelijan edistymistä koko lukuvuoden ajan. Edistymisessä huomioidaan annettujen tehtävien suorittaminen, aktiivinen osallistuminen ryhmätunneille, auskultoinnin toteuttaminen mallikkaasti ja ohjatun havainnoinnin suorittaminen annettujen ohjeiden mukaisesti.

Pedagogiikan ryhmätunnit, opetuksen seuranta, auskultointi koko lukuvuoden yhden luennot, demonstraatiot.

Pedagogiikan ryhmätunnit 12 x 60 min, opetuksen seuranta 20 x 45 min, auskultointi 35 x 60 min, itsenäinen työskentely 80 tuntia

Hyväksyttyyn suoritukseen opiskelijan on osoitettava opettajan määrittelemä taiteellis-pedagoginen osaaminen, suoritettava ohjattu havainnointi 3-tuntien seuraamiset ja huolehdittava pedagogiikkaoppilaansa etenemisestä musiikkiopiston vaatimusten mukaisesti.
Hylätyssä arvioinnissa joku edellä mainituista elementeistä ei toteudu.
