Objectives (course unit)

The student knows and understands
- the role and trends of services in global exchange
- the nature of the international service industry and market
- the information requirements and sources in the internationalization of services
- the key dimensions of service internationalization strategies and plans
- the capability requirements for implementing the internationalization of services.
The student is able to
- analyze international markets and their requirements, to develop their service potential
- design services and service systems for internationalization
- make a coherent plan to internationalize services
- assess resource, process and system requirements when internationalizing services.

International service industries; creating new service markets; finding and assessing service potential; international service strategies; resources and operations in internationalizing services.
