Objectives (course unit)
The student is able to:
- modify and work with mathematical expressions related to technical sciences
- solve equations related to technical sciences
- calculate areas and volumes of simple geographic objects
- the basic operations of 2-dimensional vectors
Content (course unit)
- scientific notation
- unit conversions
- logarithm
- percent calculations (especially those related to chemistry)
- solving linear and quadratic equations
- writing and modifying mathematical expressions
- circle, cylinder
- 2-dimensional vectors: summation and multiplication with real numbers
