Objectives (course unit)

• the students become active in observing their activities of daily living
• the students understand the significance of health-enhancing physical activity as a part of their well-being
• the students become inspired to maintain a physically active lifestyle

Content (course unit)

Weekly tasks of health-enhancing physical activity by practicing different forms of activities individually and in small groups. Weekly tasks will be reported as online assignments.

Passing this course requires active participation in weekly tasks and reporting them online.

Student workload

Course lasts ten weeks consisting of 3 cr ~ 81 h of studying, which consist of both independent and group work.

Further information

Course includes on-line studies containing tasks of health-enhancing physical activity, health-related fitness and practicing different forms of activities. Course lasts ten weeks. Each week includes one task of health-enhancing physical activity which will be carried out in small groups and reported in Tabula.

Assessment criteria - pass/fail (Not in use, Look at the Assessment criteria above)

Course assessment is approved/failed.
Passing this course requires active participation in weekly tasks and reporting them online. Reports of the weekly tasks should indicate that the students have understood the meaning of health-enhancing physical activity and can apply it to their every day lives. Approved performance includes the use of a variety of different methods, for example videos, photos and written diaries.
