Objectives (course unit)
Students
- are able to perceive disabilities from the perspective of medical model, social model, and human right model
- are able to work with disabled people of different ages in different client situations
- are able to promote inclusion and accessibility
- can search for current information on disability studies using Finnish and international sources
- can describe the principles of social rehabilitation and disability studies

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Reflective log (individual task)
Assessment criterias:
- student can cohetently organize descriptions of his/her own learning in each activity
- student is aware of appropriate litterature and can discuss / include it into the task
- student can identify and articulate a relationship between theory and practise,
- can develop personal theory and refine professional practise with due regard to issues of equity and social justice
2. Two poster presentations
a) description of accessibility, equity and social justice in home land / region
Assessment:
- student can organize relevant ideas and explore issue under study
- student can differentiate contextula factors (history, location, region, religion, political aspects, economy etc)
b) research in Tampere / poster presentation 22. November / group work
