Objective of course:
Students
- learn the key elements of wellbeing at work as starting points of personnel management
- learn operations models of personnel, competence and knowledge management for evaluation of know-how needs, development needs and competence
- learn to master connection methods of learning practices, operational development and strategic aims and can apply them in their work in a target-oriented and long-span manner
- can lead change processes that support the development of personnel´s know-how in accordance with strategies
- can create prerequisites for and develop effective service processes as well as promote client-oriented service activity

- wellbeing at work
- developing individuals and organisations
- definition of know-how, need assessment, assessment of know-how and development of know-how
- legislation of personnel management, e.g. employment issues (recruitment and grounds for notice)
- personnel planning, reward systems, age management strategies as well internationalising personnel management and network management

Teaching methods
Lectures and seminar day. The seminar topics include key fields of personnel management, such as assessment and development of wellbeing at work, assessment of know-how needs, development of know-how and assessment of know-how. Key management viewpoints and strategies, such as management of change, age management and network management steer the seminar topics. Literature and lecture material steer the seminar presentation. A summary is written on the seminar contents.

Assessment methods
Evaluation of the course on the scale 1-5.
Excellent: Students have used supervision appropriately and demonstrated independence in selecting the seminar topic and making the seminar presentation. Students can critically and constructively evaluate their own work. Students use literature in a diverse manner when making the work. Students have presented the work in seminars and been able to justify their choices. All topic fields have been considered in the presentation. Students present measure and development suggestions to relate the work to the context. The work forms an integrated entity. Potential figures and tables are excellent and create additional value for the work. The presentation and the written work are grammatically correct and easy to read and listen. The written part follows the agreed instructions.
