Objectives

The core objectives of the course are to understand the main phenomena of mathematics, physics and radiation physics related to the work of a radiographer.

After completion of the course the student:
• masters the basic mathematical methods related to the needs of the education and working life
• knows the basic principles of mechanics, theory of wave motion and electricity and can utilize the information in the equipment technique of the field of study
• knows the magnitude and measurement system of physics
• knows the principles of the safe use of electric equipment
• knows the basic principles of radiation and nuclear physics
• knows the function of x-ray and ultrasound equipment with auxiliary equipment

• can name the magnitude and measurement system of physics
• can describe the principles of the safe use of electric equipment
• can describe the basic principles of radiation and nuclear physics
• can describe the measurement system and the most significant measuring methods of radiation physics
• can describe the function of x-ray and ultrasound equipment with auxiliary equipment

• can do basic mathematical calculations related to the needs of working life
• can name the basic principles of mechanics, theory of wave motion and electricity
• can name the magnitude and measurement system of physics
• can explain the principles of the safe use of electric equipment
• can explain the basic principles of radiation and nuclear physics
• can explain the measurement system and the most significant measuring methods of radiation physics
• can explain the function of x-ray and ultrasound equipment with auxiliary equipment
