Objectives
After completing the course, the student will:
• Understand the concepts of value, value information and quality
• Understand different approaches to obtaining input data (assuming, asking, creating information)
• Understand the division of objectives (use value, external impact, financial and time objectives)
• Be able to draw up a facility list, supplement it with a cost estimate (investment and maintenance) and define the boundaries of responsibility between the user and the owner.
• Understand the logic of the iterative design process, and how technical design progresses in stages
• Be able to understand the division in technical systems according to the principle of open construction.
• Be able to perform a visual collision analysis between design areas in the information model
Content
• Identifying Customer Value
• Setting Balanced Goals
• Designing a BIM-Based Design Process
• Guiding with Quantitative Data
• Ensuring Feasibility
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student is able to list the parties to a design project and knows their tasks. The student is able to prepare an objective assessment of the project and an assessment of the building component with assistance.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
The student is able to list the parties to a design project and knows their tasks. The student is able to independently prepare a project objective assessment and a building component assessment.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
In addition to the above, the student is able to use the building data model and coordinate the plans of different design parties. The student is able to critically evaluate design solutions and guide the design process in accordance with the objective assessment.
