Objectives

The course introduces the Enterprise Architecture (EA) method, which provides a systematic way to comprehensively describe, manage, and develop an organization's operations by leveraging various perspectives. With the tools of EA frameworks, it becomes possible to better manage the interdependencies among operations, systems, and data, thus enhancing the value delivered to the organization's objectives through development efforts.

Upon completing the course, the student will be able to
• understand the concept of enterprise architecture.
• grasp the organization's operational architecture as a multidimensional entity.
• identify how enterprise architecture serves as a tool for strategic management within an organization.
• understand how enterprise architecture better integrates ICT and business.
• know the components of an architecture strategy.
• be able to categorize architecture into different domains.
• recognize the types of descriptions beneficial in developing enterprise architecture.
• be proficient in utilizing appropriate description techniques.
• identify the various methods, description techniques, and tools used in architectural work.
