STRUCTURE OF THE EDUCATION
Advanced Professional Studies: 30 ECTS
Elective Studies: 30 ECTS
Thesis: 30 ECTS
Total: 90 ECTS
IMPLEMENTATION OF TEACHING
In addition to individual assignments, group work plays an important role in the studies. The planned duration of the studies is two (2) years, but it is possible to complete them in 1.5 years. The studies are designed to be completed alongside work. Learning tasks can be directly related to your own job, meaning your employer organization also benefits from your studies.

Leadership in public administration requires collaboration across administrative sectors and interaction with various stakeholders. The goal of work-based learning tasks is to support the development of broad and versatile competencies.

The education is delivered as online studies. The advanced professional studies (30 ECTS) are conducted in collaboration with the Master School network of Jyväskylä, Tampere, and Turku Universities of Applied Sciences. The program leads to a Master’s degree from a University of Applied Sciences, which corresponds in competence level to a university master’s degree.

The thesis (30 ECTS) is a work-based and research-oriented development task. It can be completed for your own employer, another client, your own company, or based on other needs for research and development in working life.
