Objectives

The Students
- is able to carry out health examinations and screening examinations assessing health, well-being and study ability together with the student and, if necessary, send for further care
- identify the student's health support needs and know appropriate customer-oriented health-promoting work methods in the study environment
- can face from different life situations and cultures, both in the same way and with closer and deeper skills in a healthy health discussion
- is able to guide and support the student in maintaining their ability to study
- understand the role of the public health nurse in the learning community and in multidisciplinary networks as an expert in health promotion
- is able to appropriate knowledge and skills for the most common medical needs of students
- is able to vaccinate and give guidance to students on infectious diseases and vaccinations

Assessment criteria, pass/fail

Pass

The Student
- is able to meet the student and his / her relatives appropriate, respectful and professional manner
- is able to carry out health examinations and screening examinations assessing health, well-being and study ability together with the student and, if necessary, send for further care
- is able to interpret the results of health examinations and screening tests and detects possible needs for supporting the student's health.
- is able to apply customer-oriented health-promoting working methods in the study environment
- understand the role of the public health nurse as an expert in health promotion in the learning community and in multidisciplinary networks
- is able to apply his / her knowledge and skills to the most common medical needs of students
- can vaccinate and give students guidance on infectious diseases and vaccinations
- is able to act responsibly, recognizing the limits of his/her competence
- works responsibly, recognising the limits of his/her expertise
- follows the rules of confidentially and the data security guidelines
- follows the agreed rules of supervised clinical training in his/her own actions
- reflects and evaluates his/her own activities realistically
- is able to give and receive feedback

Fail
The Student
-the objective, respectful and professional encounter of the student and his / her relatives is deficient
-not able to carry out health examinations and screening tests assessing health, well-being and study ability together with the student or needs strong support from the instructor to perform
-not able to interpret the results of health examinations and screening tests and does not detect possible needs to support the student's health
-not able to apply customer-oriented health-promoting working methods in the study environment
-does not recognize the role of the public health nurse as an expert in health promotion in the learning community and interprofessional networks
- is not able to apply their knowledge and skills to the most common medical needs of students
- is not able to vaccinate and give students guidance on infectious diseases and vaccinations
- violates confidentiality or client data security
- does not recognise the limits of his/her expertise, endangering the client’s safety
- fails to follow the agreed rules for supervised practice (e.g., takes no responsibility for his/her own learning; the goals are missing; does not follow the working hours, does not report his/ her absences, and/or the total amount of required scheduled hours is not fulfilled)
- evaluates her/his own competence unrealistically and is unable to receive feedback
