Objectives

In this course, we delve into the foundations and essential methods of a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach, as well as its significance in client work.

Upon completing the course, the student will:
• Be able to apply a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach in individual, group, and community work
• Demonstrate practical proficiency in therapeutic and trauma-informed techniques
• Recognize personal boundaries and limits

• Concepts, principles, and practices of the therapeutic and trauma-informed approach.
• Trauma-informed interactions.
• Understanding trauma and its impact on the body.
• Self-regulation strategies and stabilizing methods.
• Cultivating compassion and self-compassion.
• Addressing vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue.
