Learning materials

Exam tests are based solely on the examination material available in Moodle. The terms in the examination material are based on the book by Hokkanen, M. & Vierimaa, H. 2019. Tuki- ja liikuntaelimistön anatomia. Opiskelukirja. Sanoma Pro Oy. This covers all chapters except chapter 3, which is about the head region.

The images in the Moodle material also use, among other sources, the book by Platzer, Werner. 2014. Color Atlas of Human Anatomy, Vol 1. Locomotor System, Thieme Medical Publishers, Incorporated. This book is also available as an e-book in the TAMK library.

Additionally, good supplementary texts include VK Publishing's "Reittiopas ihmiskehoon" ja "Reittiopas ihmiskehoon- Opiskelijan työkirja".

Student workload

The course is worth 7 credits, which equates to 189 hours. Of this, 6 credits are derived from Exam tests and 1 credit from the end-of-course seminar.
