Objectives

The aim of the course is to give the student the skills to carry out a forest counseling event and to develop the student's oral presentation skills.

After completing the course, the student:

• knows how to plan and implement a forest counseling event for the selected target group, taking into account the target group's goals and needs
• knows how to prepare and give an oral presentation to the target audience, which can illustrate if necessary
• knows the laws and regulations governing forestry operations, as well as forest and nature management recommendations
• can communicate as an expert in a structured, comprehensible and convincing manner

Content

Application of forestry-related legislation and recommendations, planning and implementation of the counseling situation, as well as related pedagogical expertise, clarifying the forest owner's values ​​and goals. Planning the content of the speech presentation. Illustration. Giving a presentation.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student knows legislation and recommendations related to forestry. Using them as a basis for advice or presenting one's own views is formulaic and does not show consideration of the forest owner's needs. The student needs guidance and support in the organization of the counseling session and in going through the group counseling situation. The student knows how to prepare and deliver an oral presentation taking into account the needs of the target group.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student knows how to use forestry-related legislation, recommendations and calculation models to justify their views and standard management solutions. He knows how to organize a counseling situation according to the order and carry through the group counseling situation so that the essential learning goals are achieved.
The student knows how to prepare and deliver an oral presentation taking into account the needs of the target group.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In a group counseling situation, the student knows how to naturally and holistically combine forest ownership-related legislation, recommendations, calculation models, marketing skills, understanding of the interaction between different types of people to build a successful counseling situation that meets the goals of forest owners. In organizing and conducting the counseling session, he shows initiative and creativity, which enable in-depth learning taking into account the group's situation.
The student knows how to prepare and deliver an oral presentation taking into account the needs of the target group.
