Objectives

The course orients the students to hazards of a construction site and they gain an overview on occupational safety and security planning on-site. The students are able to apply occupational safety regulations in different construction sites.

Content

The course covers safety obligations of the client and the designer of a construction project. The course also includes safety management, safety as a part of production planning, safety inspections and risk assessment.
The course contains labor laws and collective labor agreements as well as the safety legislation for construction sector. The contract of employment is also included.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Essentially present, assignments are done with minimal effort, assignments are factually inaccurate, inactive in hours, only required, presentation returned late, copy-paste (no effort needed), underwork, try but not complete, assignment missing.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Going to classes, investing in work, doing assignments on time, few absences but time spent on assignments, moderately, moderately active in classes, sober assignment, assignment contains all the essentials of the topic, presenting naturally, investing in exercises, presentation but not complete , clear structure in the assignment, work completed, showing interest in things.
