Objectives

Students understand the concept of function and know basic function graphs. Students can
-solve quadratic equations and radical equations
-understand the concept of logarithm and solve simple exponential and logarithmic equations
-identify and interpret function graphs and apply the learnt in solving technical problems
-circle-related terms
-calculate circle angles, surface areas and arc lengths in technical assignments
-calculate volumes and areas of diverse items

Content

Polynomial functions and their graphs (particularly lines and parabolas), linear dependence, and proportionality, solving of quadratic equations and radical equations, concept of logarithm, logarithm, exponential function, and related equations. Circle theory, item areas and volumes.
