Objectives
The student knows the electrical technology of vehicles in a versatile way.
Students get to know the basic concepts of automotive electrical engineering and device technology. Can read and design circuit diagrams, dimension basic components and wires, and search for and identify key fault types
Content
Traditional automotive electrical technology: Charging system, starting system, ignition system, batteries, relays, electric motors, lighting, actuators, wiring technology.
Sensor technology for vehicles and work machines. Wiring diagrams for automotive electrical engineering. Safety and repairability of electric vehicle technology. Troubleshooting.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
Can identify and define electrical components used in vehicles. Knows different types of sensors and actuators, but cannot justify their choices. Recognizes basic electrical diagram markings. Works in a group. Recognizes his communication skills. Identifies important operating methods for one's field.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
Can structure the properties of different electrical system components in relation to each other. Can choose the most suitable sensors and actuators for the vehicle and justify their choice. Can read electrical diagrams and program diagrams. Can cooperate responsibly and is ready to develop his interaction skills.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Broadly understands the operation of electrical components used in vehicles. Knows how to choose the right type of sensor for a particular vehicle. Can read and prepare electrical diagrams, as well as design wiring harnesses. Can cooperate responsibly, flexibly and constructively. Develops both own and group interaction skills.
