Objectives

The student is able to explain the phenomena and equipment used in the process transfer processes and chemical unit processes used in the process industry. The student is able to choose the method of separation based on the need and can solve the design and balance calculations related to unit processes.
The student is able to apply his / her knowledge in later subject studies and also to utilize his / her expertise in future work tasks.

Phenomena related to substance transfer processes. Material transfer technology includes unit processes and related equipment from the following unit processes: distillation, ion exchange, membrane processes, absorption, adsorption and extraction. Key equipment, reactors and dimensioning for chemical unit processes.
