Objectives

The objective of the course is to familiarise the student with the planning, resourcing, and contracts related to audiovisual production, as well as acquiring information and communication skills related to production management.

After completing the course, the student
- can plan, resource, and report an AV production from pre-production to post-production
- can gather information to support production planning and resourcing
- knows how to work customer-oriented, ethically, ecologically, and cost-effectively
- can create the budget needed for the execution of the work
- knows how to use appropriate tools for project planning and communication
- is familiar with relevant legislation in the field and can create production and distribution agreements for the work

Responsibilities and job descriptions of the production department in audiovisual production.
The process and tools for sustainable planning and resourcing in audiovisual production at different stages of production.
Information gathering and budgeting for AV production.
Customer-centric approach.
Stakeholder communication and communication tools.
Legislation and production agreements.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student is aware of some resource allocation principles for different phases of AV production. They gather information, create a budget, and make agreements under guidance. They recognise stakeholders in AV production, as well as communication needs and methods with these stakeholders.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student can divide the phases of AV production and plan resources and reporting for the phases. They can gather information to support production planning and resourcing. They can work in a customer-oriented, ethical, ecological, and cost-effective manner. They can create a budget required for production implementation. They can communicate with stakeholders about the project and use appropriate tools for project planning and communication. They are knowledgeable about relevant legislation in the field and can make agreements related to the production and distribution of the work.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can plan, resource, and report on AV production from pre-production to post-production. They can independently acquire diverse information to support production planning and resourcing. They excel in customer-oriented and cost-effective work and can operate ethically and ecologically. They can professionally create the budget needed for production implementation. They can communicate project details clearly to stakeholders and use appropriate tools for project planning and communication. They are knowledgeable about relevant legislation in the field and can adeptly handle agreements related to the production and distribution of the work.
