Objectives

Develop your designs into clickable prototypes and create appealing outlooks for the users.

This course prepares the students to design and visualize user interfaces and to create interactive prototypes. After completing the course, the student
• Knows the basic principles of user interface design and how to apply usability principles to UI designs
• Understands the basics of interaction design and visualizes interaction in UI
• Builds an interactive prototype with online tools
• Analyzes accessibility and usability of interactive prototypes in multiple ways
• Works in an iterative way in UI projects

Creating clickable prototypes
Improving prototypes with different testing methods

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student understands the basics of user interface design. The student can produce elements of interactive prototypes and participate in the conception work and reporting.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student outlines the main principles of user interface design. They can produce usable interactive prototypes and analyze them. The student follows accessibility guidelines. The student works actively as a member of a group and can report their work well.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can look for different user interface design methods and try out new UI solutions. The student is highly motivated and takes committed responsibility for his/her own and the group's performance and reporting.

Course consist of contact teaching and exercises in Mediapolis and self study.

In this course the students design an interactive digital prototype in Figma.
Lectures, team work, presentations, assignments.
