Objectives

New sound design technology for games and media course will enhance sound design techniques and middleware used for advanced sound design applications.

The student is able to:
Define sound assets.
Create sound assets.
Use middleware for advanced sound design in games and media.
Develop both theoretical and practical knowledge used in game and media sound design.

Sound design techniques and middleware used for advanced sound design applications. The concept of sound assets and use of middleware between DAW and game engine.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student shows a basic understanding of new sound design technology for games and media. The student knows how to interact in discussions related to the field on a basic level and how to give and receive feedback. The student participates in class, assigned work and reporting.

The student shows a good understanding of new sound design technology for games and media. The student demonstrates a good ability to interact in discussions related to the field and is good at giving and receiving feedback. The student works actively in class and assignments and delivers well-structured reports.
