Objectives

The aim of the course is to develop basic skills in moving image art productions in the context of contemporary fine art.

The course prepares students for scripting, planning, management, camerawork, sound recording, editing and distribution. After completing the course, the student knows how to manage the production and post-production and is familiar with various presentation practices of moving image artwork on a basic level.

Content

Basics of moving image practices, including camerawork, production management, editing, sound recording and presentation. Production and distribution plan of a small-scale moving image project.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student is able to recognize some basic concepts of contemporary moving image art productions. The student performs the assigned tasks under supervision and assistance and knows how to apply basic skills. The student is able to give and receive feedback and work in a team.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student knows the principles of the relationships between practical skills and concepts related to moving image art productions and is able to choose the most suitable process from options justifying choices and solving problems.

The student is able to give and receive feedback actively and constructively and keeps up with the schedule, committing to the study group's activities.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student understands very well the relationships between practical skills and concepts related to contemporary moving image art productions and connects with the professional context.

The student is able to look for various solution options and justify their choices well. The student evaluates solutions and creates new explorative small-scale artwork. The student is able to give and receive feedback actively and constructively, is highly motivated, keeps up with the schedule, commits to the study group's activities and is able to help others.
