Objectives

The course develops basic user experience design knowledge. It prepares students to start working in user experience design and user interface design projects.

After completing the course, the student
• Knows user experience design basic terminology, techniques, skills and tools
• Uses research data in concept development
• Plans the basic functionality of the user interface and visualizes it
• Evaluates the usability of the interactive media concepts

Content

Main elements of user experience design: Basics of design thinking, UX workflow and tools
Usability and accessibility principles.
UI visualization methods: Sketching, wireframing and site maps
UX career options

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student Is able to identify and define some UX terms and understands the basics of user experience design. The student can use some UX techniques, and they participate in the work and reporting.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student outlines the main principles of user experience design and follows usability instructions. The student selects the necessary method for the activity. The student works actively as a member of a group and can report their work well.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student can look for different user experience design methods and try out new user interface solutions. The student is highly motivated and takes committed responsibility for their own and the group's performance and reporting.
