Objectives

After completing the course, the student knows how to work critically with environmental issues in
fine art painting and drawing productions.

The course prepares the student to use creative methods and diverse strategies of sustainable
development in the painting and drawing process. The student knows how to make eco-friendly
alternatives to synthetic paint.

Practical guidance to natural ink making and organic painting.
Natural binders and pigments.
Sustainability and recycling in fine art processes.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student understands environmental issues in fine art painting and drawing productions. The
student participates in the working with course tasks and feedback.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student outlines environmental issues in fine art painting and drawing productions and handles
these well in their own artworks. The student knows how to use natural and organic materials in the
painting and drawing process. The student works actively as a member of a group and is able to
receive and give feedback.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to analyze environmental issues in fine art painting and drawing productions and
handle these well in their own artworks. The student uses natural and organic materials in the
painting and drawing process creatively. The student works highly motivated as a member of a group
and is able to receive and give feedback.
