Objectives
The course gives knowledge of moving image practices in the context of contemporary art. The course prepares students for experimental moving image productions by developing artistic content and utilizing a variety of new and traditional technologies. The student knows how to market and exhibit the artwork.
Content
Moving image in contemporary art, content and presentation practices. Plan and script of an experimental project. Artwork lab, management, production, post-production and a plan for marketing and exhibiting.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)
The student is able to recognise some of the concepts of contemporary moving image art.
The student performs the assigned tasks under supervision and assistance, knows how to apply basic skills and is able to give and receive feedback and work in a team.
Assessment criteria, good (3-4)
The student is able to understand relationships between diverse concepts related to contemporary moving image artworks. The student is able to choose the most suitable work process, justifying choices and solving problems. The student is able to give and receive feedback actively and constructively and keeps up with the schedule, committing to the study group's activities.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
The student understands very well the relationships between the concepts related to contemporary moving image artworks and is able to connect with the professional context.
The student is able to look for various solution options and justify their choices. The student evaluates solutions and creates new explorative content. The student is able to give and receive feedback actively and constructively keeps up with the schedule, commits to the study group's activities and is able to help others. The student is highly motivated.
