Objectives (course unit)
Students will understand the history of scientific knowledge and technology and the ways in which different political, social and cultural factors have shaped the relationship between science, technology and society. By the end of the course, students will also have an overview of what has been known about the world at different times, how this knowledge has been acquired and how it has been dealt with.
Content (course unit)
The course introduces you to the history of science and technology through a lecture seminar or literature once every three years. The course will focus on the history of modern science and technology, but will also explore the history of science and technology before the so-called scientific revolution.
