Objectives (course unit)

The student: understands the prerequisites for the use of statistical research methods understands the basic ideas of statistical dependence, hypothesis testing and comparison of group means learns to use statistical software (mainly SPSS) developed for quantitative research at the level required for a bachelor's thesis is able to design and carry out small-scale quantitative research and to report and interpret the results of small-scale research appropriately can describe, analyze, report and interpret quantitative research data

Content (course unit)

The student learns the basics of quantitative research in educational sciences, the practical applications of quantitative research methods and the use of statistical software. He practices the use of SPSS software and plans, implements, reports and interprets quantitative research project based on existing research data.

Prerequisites (course unit)

Previous studies require reseach methodology course on basic studies in education (KASP5/KASP05/KAS.KAA.050) or a study module on basic education in education (25 ECTS credits).Students of the degree program must complete compulsory research methodology studies in intermediate studies before the Bachelor's Thesis seminar.
