Objectives (course unit)

Tehohoitotyö on erityisosaamista vaativa erikoissairaanhoidon ala. Tehohoitotyössä vakavasti sairaita potilaita tarkkaillaan keskeytymättä, heidän elintoimintojaan valvotaan ja tarvittaessa pidetään yllä erikoislaittein. Opintojaksolla saat perusteita kriittisesti sairaan potilaan hoitotyöhön teho-osastolla. – Tunnet yleisimmin tehohoidossa käytettävät hoitomenetelmät – Tiedät potilasturvallisuuden kannalta oikeat toimintatavat tehohoitotyössä – Kykenet arvioimaan kriittisesti sairaan potilaan tilaa monitoroinnin, kliinisen tilan arvioinnin ja keskeisimpien tutkimustulosten perusteella – Osaat tehdä hoitotyössä tarvittavia ratkaisuja potilaan tilan ja annetun hoidon vaikutusta arvioimalla – Osaat tukea kriittisesti sairaan potilaan omaisia – Kykenet monialaiseen ja -ammatilliseen yhteistyöhön tehohoitoa tarvitsevan potilaan hoidossa – Tiedostat aikaisemman teoriaperustan ja näyttöön perustuvan tiedon merkityksen kriittisesti sairaan potilaan hoitotyössä

Soveltuu sairaanhoitajaopintojen loppuvaiheen vaihtoehtoisiin ammattiopintoihin.

Exam schedules

In the end of the course there is the final online exam.

Assessment methods and criteria

In the end of the course there is the final exam, where the answers need to be 70% right. Based on the exam the assessment of the course is passed/failed.

This course is in CampusOnline and Xamk's students are not able to accomplish it. With this nonstop training the student can start the studies in about week after signing in to the course. He/she has 3 months time to accomplish the course. Independent studying online.
