Objectives (course unit)

The student understands basic statistical analysis methods and how they are applied to real world business situations. The student understands how to use data to gain meaningful insights and hidden information. The student understands the fundamentals of statistical analysis and is able to analyze data and apply appropriate statistical techniques.

Exam schedules

The student will be graded on their performance in the quizzes that are available as part of the course, in Moodle.

Assessment methods and criteria

Below 50%- Fail Grade 1: 50-59% Grade 2: 60-69% Grade 3: 70-79% Grade 4: 80-89% Grade 5: 90-100% The quizzes are self grading and students will get the opportunity to do each quiz three times if they would like to improve their grade. Only the highest grade per quiz will be considered.

Teaching methods

This is an online course with video presentations and practical walkthrough videos. The course's learning environment is Moodle - an email with instructions on how to access the learning environment will be sent to students one week before the course starts. The course work is completed by each student individually.

Learning materials

All learning material will be provided in Moodle.

Student workload

The course comprises of 10 videos of about 30 minutes each. The time taken to complete the quizzes is at the student's own discretion.
