Objectives (course unit)
Recognizes key societal changes in health and well-being and their impact on the work of an occupational therapist. Applies multidisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration and participates in the development of occupational therapy client processes. Use creative problem-solving and project work skills to develop sustainable, client-oriented, and economically viable solutions. Knows ways to influence society and participates in promoting occupational equality and well-being in various networks and communication channels.
Content (course unit)
To strengthen the social perspective, the course is intended for anyone interested in the field of health and well-being, primarily occupational therapy students and occupational therapists, to support their work as experts in occupational therapy in a changing society.
Location and time
The course unit is open from 02 March 2026 to 31 May 2026. The student works at their own pace based on the provided materials, assignments, and guidance. The final completion date is the last open day of the course unit.
Exam schedules
In the course, assignments are completed in Moodle, where it is stated that there is an opportunity to retake an assignment if the student does not achieve a sufficient score. Assignments must be completed by the end of the course.
Assessment methods and criteria
There are assignments in Moodle for the course unit, each of which has assessment criteria (pass-fail) presented in Moodle. The assignments must be submitted by the end of the course unit. All student achievements will be assessed on a pass-fail scale after the course unit has ended, regardless of when the student submitted them.
