Objectives (course unit)

Opintojaksolla opiskellaan omaan alaasi liittyviä aihepiirejä. Tämän vuoksi on erityisen tärkeää, että valitset omalle tutkinnollesi suunnatun toteutuksen kurssitarjonnasta. Tämän opintojakson suorittanut tai vastaavan osaamisen hankkinut opiskelija osaa - viestiä oman alasi keskeisissä tilanteissa sekä keskustella ko. alaan ja omaan työhösi liittyvistä aiheista ruotsin kielellä. - seurata omaa alaasi sekä tuottaa alasi keskeisiä dokumentteja ruotsin kielellä. - toimia pohjoismaisessa työelämäkontekstissa keskeiset kulttuurierot huomioiden.

Content (course unit)

Kaikki opintojakson osa-alueet linkittyvät opiskeltavaan alaan ja sisältävät oman alan terminologiaa. - Suullinen viestintä: työelämän viestintä, oman alan ajankohtaisista aiheista keskusteleminen. - Kirjallinen viestintä: oman alan seuraaminen eri medioissa, alakohtaisten lyhyiden tekstien laatiminen. - Kulttuuriosaaminen: pohjoismainen liike-elämän viestintäkulttuuri ja – käytänteet, vastuullinen liiketoiminta Pohjoismaissa.

Prerequisites (course unit)

Opintojakson lähtötaso on B1 Eurooppalaisen kielten viitekehyksen taitotasoilla. Edeltävyysehtona on hyväksytty lähtötasokoe tai hylätyn lähtötasokokeen jälkeen hyväksytysti suoritettu valmentava opintojakso tai vastaava osaaminen.

Exam schedules

The written final exam and oral discussions are held during the last two weeks of the course. A retake opportunity is provided in accordance with the degree regulations.

Teaching methods

NOTE! The virtual implementation is recommended for students who have a fairly good or good command of Swedish. Students with limited Swedish skills or learning difficulties are advised to choose the online or contact blended implementation, where more support from the teacher is available. The learning outcomes and assessment criteria are the same across all implementations.

Student workload

The course includes approximately 30 compulsory learning/exercise tasks, a written Moodle exam, and a final oral discussion. The final discussion is conducted as a conversation in Moodle, and students can choose the time from the options provided, which will be announced during the third week of the course.

Content scheduling

The seven tasks in the first section of the course must be successfully completed within two weeks from the start of the course. A student will be removed from the course if the first section is not completed within these two weeks. After the course has ended, it is no longer possible to complete the tasks.

International connections

The student is able to communicate clearly in Swedish in general workplace, field-specific, and customer service situations in writing. The course includes practice in operating within a Nordic working environment and business culture.
