Objectives (course unit)

The aim of the course is to become acquainted with, and critically examine health analytics and it’s opportunities, current implementation and challenges within the field of health and welfare.Learning outcomes:You are able to reflect on, discuss, and critically analyze the impact and influence of health analytics on your own profession, as well as the health and welfare sector in general. This will involve developing a thoughtful and critical attitude regarding different issues and aspects regarding health analytics.You gain basic knowledge of health analytics, enabling you to describe the challenges it presents, as well as the future opportunities that it offers to health and welfare sectors.SDG's in focus:#3 Good health and well-being#4 Quality education#5 Gender equality

Content (course unit)

This course introduces and explores the area of health analytics, focusing on its impact, challenges, and future potential. As a student You develop a critical perspective on its use while gaining fundamental knowledge of health analytics and it’s role in professional practice. This is one of the courses in the eHealth online course package of 10 credits. There is an opportunity to take anything between 1-10 credits.Each course is structured according to the same structure as this course, where the work effort for 1 credit (one course = 1 credit = 27 hours of workload.
